Preparing for Cambridge A level exams can be a daunting task, but with the right study habits, you can increase your chances of success. Without a proper and consistent planned study schedule, it is impossible to score well in upcoming exams. From creating a study schedule to practicing past year papers, these methods can help you stay focused, organized, and confident on exam day.
#1 Create a study schedule and stick to it.
Imagine if one has no planned schedule for anything, he or she will not complete and succeed for any tasks in life. One of the most important study habits for A level exams is creating a study schedule and sticking to it. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you cover all the necessary material before the exam. Start by breaking down your study material into manageable chunks and assigning specific study times for each topic. Be sure to include breaks and time for relaxation to avoid burnout. Stick to your schedule as much as possible, be discipline and adjust it as needed to ensure that you are making progress towards your goals.
#2 Take breaks and prioritize self-care.
Human is not robot, machine like ironman, we all need rest and break in between after a long-haul day of work. Studies stated that normal person cannot focused continuously after 20 minutes. It’s important to remember that taking breaks and prioritizing self-care is just as important as studying for your A level exams. Make sure to schedule in time for activities that help you relax and recharge, such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with friends and family. For my personal preference, I would like to take a break by making myself a cup of coffee, take 10-20 minutes to enjoy the coffee and recharge my mind and body. Taking care of your mental and physical health will help you stay focused and motivated during your study sessions, and ultimately lead to better exam performance.

Simply reading through your notes or textbooks is not enough to fully understand and retain the information. Bear in mind learning and reading are different. Reading is like you are reading a fiction book without the need of understanding and digesting. In contrast, learning is when you have curiosity about something, further digging more information and improve overall understanding from roots. Active learning techniques, such as practicing questions and summarizing notes, can help you better understand and remember the material. Practice questions can help you identify areas where you need more review, while summarizing notes can help you condense the information into key points for easier recall, especially one day before the exam when you left with little amount of time. Incorporating these techniques into your study routine can improve your understanding and retention of the material, leading to better exam performance.

Don't be afraid to reach out to your classmates for help or to form study groups. Alone may goes fast but not far, but with a group of people, we may go for a long way. Additionally, don't hesitate to seek help from your teachers or tutors if you are struggling with a particular topic. They are there to support you and can provide valuable guidance and resources to help you succeed. Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
